Students, doctoral candidates, and young political scientists from across Bulgaria have founded the “Youth Political Science Association” in Varna.
The meeting, held on September 16, 2017, was attended by representatives of the Political Scientist Student Club at Plovdiv University “Paisii Hilendarski”; the “Ego Politico” Association and the Student Association for the Study of International Relations at the University of National and World Economy; the “ARS” Workshop on the Phenomenology of Politics at St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo; students from Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar,” New Bulgarian University, and Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”; as well as young people from across the country with an education in political science.
The organization aims to work for the development of young people and their active participation in public life. The Association’s task is to provide impartial analysis of society and to carry out research.
Varna-based political scientist Sergey Petrov was elected Chair of the Association. He is an alumnus of the University of Veliko Tarnovo and Varna Free University.
