🔝 The Youth Political Science Association organized a visit to the National Assembly for students from the "Political Science" department at New Bulgarian University (NBU), hosted by former Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov.
📚 Students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the legislative process, observe parliamentary debates regarding changes to the Electoral Code, and learn more about the history of the institution.
🗣 In the "West" Hall of the National Assembly, the students from NBU engaged in an exceptionally productive discussion on current political topics. Together with Mr. Mitov, they commented on Bulgaria's accession to the Eurozone and the Schengen Area. They debated the advantages and disadvantages of machine voting versus paper ballots and shared perspectives on the war in Ukraine, Bulgaria's position, and the broader challenges facing Europe. Additionally, Daniel Mitov explained the legislative path of a bill and the process of its adoption.
