The event’s first session presented the vision, objectives, and the newly appointed Governing Board of the Association. Congratulatory remarks were delivered by Dan Shomon—a friend of the Association, American political consultant, and former campaign manager for Barack Obama; Prof. Rumyana Kolarova, Chairperson of the Bulgarian Political Science Association; Assoc. Prof. Blaga Blagoeva, Head of the Political Science Department at UNWE; and Assoc. Prof. Aleksey Petrov, Head of the Political Science and National Security Department at Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski."
The second part of the event featured a high-level discussion with Vladimir Petrovic, Serbian Ambassador to the United States (2009–2013); Prof. Rumen Kanchev, an expert in international security and geopolitics; and Attorney Irina Abadzhieva-Reputz. The discussion focused on the Three Seas Initiative (3SI) and the role of the Balkan countries within it. During the session, the participants outlined the core aspects of the Initiative and the strategic perspectives it offers for Balkan integration and development.
