A representative of our organization participated in a productive meeting with the Ukrainian Institute for International Politics—a partner organization of the Political Science Institute (Youth Political Science Association) since 2018.
The two delegations exchanged best practices and expertise in the field of youth policies.
Since 2018, our hosts have been key organizers of the "National Youth Capital of Ukraine" competition, held in partnership with the Ministry of Youth. Over 50 cities participated in the very first edition.
Тhe first city to win the title—Lviv—is already a finalist for the European Youth Capital title.
A major focus of the meeting was the new Youth Law of Ukraine, enacted this year, which includes:
- Definition of "Youth Worker": Formal legal recognition of the profession.
- Definition of "Youth Center": Establishing standards for youth spaces.
- National Youth Advisory Council: Regulating the council’s operations under the Council of Ministers, chaired by the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
- National Fund for Youth Activities: Providing guaranteed funding accessible not only to NGOs but also to informal groups and individuals.
The meeting also included representatives from Armenia (which also hosts a National Youth Capital competition), Bulgaria, Italy, and Ukraine.
