History

From the Youth Political Science Association to the Political Science Institute.

The organization was founded in 2017 in Varna as the “Youth Political Science Association” (MAPN) by students and young political scientists from Sofia, Veliko Tarnovo, Plovdiv, and Varna. Since then, it has grown into a close-knit community united by a passion for political science.

In 2023–2024 the organization began a process of change, which led to a natural need to change its name, structure, and some of its goals. As a result, in 2025 MAPN became the Political Science Institute.
